Attention to all current and previous coaches, parents and volunteers of Santa Rosa Youth Athletics. As previously discussed in the letter sent out to the membership we had scheduled to have elections on May 26, do to this falling on Memorial weekend and the City of San Fernando only extended our permit until the end of this month it is imperative that we move the election date to May 19. As of today nominations for board positions are now open and the league is in need of volunteers to continue. If we fail to put in place a board by the end of the month the City of San Fernando will suspend our permit to have baseball at Las Palmas Park which could put our baseball program in jeopardy of continuing. If you would like to continue having a baseball program at Las Palmas Park for your kids please submit your name to help the league survive. Nominations forms are available at the Snack bar and you may submit them in person to the Nomination Committee: Julio Esparza, Marlene Rosas and Jaime Leon Jr. or by email to SR_elections@yahoo.com
Help our kids continue playing baseball at Las Palmas Park by volunteering. Let’s all join in together to help keep the league and have baseball for kids to play.

Parents, before buy your kids a new bat, please follow the new guidelines below. We will be strictly following these guideline placed by PONY this year.
In conjunction with USA Baseball and its other participating national member organizations, PONY Baseball has adopted the new USA Baseball Bat Standard(USABat).
Effective January 1, 2018, with the exception of the -3 bat (BBCOR Certified), all other 2 5/8 inch minus factor bats (-5, -7, -9, etc) must be YBBCOR certified with the USABat licensing stamp on the bat in order to used for league and tournament play. 2 5/8 inch minus factor bats -5, -7, -9, etc., used in 2017 will be illegal to use in 2018.
The new YBBCOR certified bats bearing the USABat licensing mark are expected to be offered in retail stores in September 1, 2017.
